Release notifications
Every webPDF update, including the regular security updates, is published in the changelog. You can subscribe to the changelog as a feed or receive the announcements by email.
Changelog feeds
The changelog is available in three feed formats with the same content: one entry per release, covering the most recent releases across all webPDF versions.
| Format | Feed address |
|---|---|
| RSS 2.0 | https://docs.webpdf.de/changelog/rss.xml |
| Atom | https://docs.webpdf.de/changelog/atom.xml |
| JSON Feed | https://docs.webpdf.de/changelog/feed.json |
Copy the address into your feed reader, for example Mozilla Thunderbird, a web-based reader, or a browser extension.
When you open a feed address directly, the browser shows the raw XML or JSON content. This is expected and not an error: the address is meant for a feed reader, not for reading in the browser.
Microsoft Outlook
Only classic Outlook for Windows can subscribe to RSS feeds:
- In the folder pane, right-click RSS Feeds and select Add a New RSS Feed.
- Enter
https://docs.webpdf.de/changelog/rss.xml. - Select Add, then OK.
New releases then appear in a separate folder below RSS Feeds. See Subscribe to an RSS Feed for details.
The new Outlook for Windows does not support RSS feeds, and Outlook on the web does not offer feed subscriptions either. In that case, use one of the other ways on this page, or forward the feed with Power Automate.
Microsoft Power Automate
If your organization uses Microsoft Power Automate, a flow can turn every new changelog entry into an email or a Microsoft Teams message:
- Create an automated cloud flow with the trigger When a feed item is published of the RSS connector.
- Enter
https://docs.webpdf.de/changelog/rss.xmlas the feed URL. - Add an action that sends an email or posts a Teams message, using the title, summary, and primary link of the feed item.
The connector checks the feed periodically, so a notification can arrive some time after the release is published. See the RSS connector reference for its limits.
Email
- webPDF subscription: If you have an active webPDF subscription, you are informed by email about every webPDF update. If these emails do not reach the right person in your organization, contact Support.
- Newsletter: Independently of a subscription, the webPDF newsletter also announces new updates.
