Virtual machine

webPDF can be used on the base operating systems Windows and Linux. The Windows or Linux base operating system can be installed on native or virtualized hardware. This makes no difference to the use of webPDF.

This makes it possible to use webPDF on different virtualization platforms to integrate it more easily into the existing infrastructure.

Virtual machine

webPDF can be used as a virtual machine, e.g. under vSphere or Hyper-V.

It can also be used as a virtual machine (or “compute engine”) in cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Webservices (AWS), Google Cloud or private clouds.

Since webPDF 10, we no longer provide a ready-made virtual machine. Instead, use the Docker container or create your own virtual machine using the Linux packages.
