Portal login
You can access the webPDF portal by clicking on the corresponding entry in the program group (only for Windows) or simply by entering the following address in your web browser:
If you want to use your local server, replace the host name (and the protocol and port if applicable) with the IP address or the host name of the machine on which webPDF is installed. Make sure to keep the sub-path “/webPDF” (case-sensitive) in the URL.
When you enter the portal page, the login (portal login) screen appears automatically.
To log in to the portal page, enter the user data in the "Username" and "Password" fields. To log in to the portal, enter your user data in the “Username” and “Password” fields and click on “Login” or use “Anonymous login” to log in without a user account.
Login as a normal user with the default username "user" and password "user".
Click "Anonymous Login" without logging in with a user.
Please note that anonymous login may be disabled for the REST web services. In this case, anonymous login is not possible.
The user data is stored in an integrated XML database. There you can change the default login or add more users. To define a different source for the user data, see "User source" information.
OAuth login
If external OAuth2 providers are configured in the server for the portal login, then additional buttons may appear below the login dialog.
If you press the corresponding button, you will be redirected to the login page of the respective OAuth2 provider and have to perform the login there. After successful login, you will be sent back to the portal and logged in automatically.
Logout
To log out of the portal page, click on the "User icon"
and then on "Logout" in the dialog that appears.
This ends the current session in the portal and all uploaded documents are removed from the portal.
